A Certificate of Origin (view sample) is an international trade document attesting that goods in an export shipment are wholly obtained, produced, manufactured, or processed in a particular country. Additional services are available through our service upon registration, including Certificates of Free Sale ($75/$125 per document) and Embassy Legalization services, payable per certificate at the prevailing country rate(s) for your required services and certifications.
Certificates submitted online before 6:00 PM (Mountain Time) are typically available same day. Certificates submitted after 6:00 PM (Mountain Time) are typically available within 24 hours. For planning purposes, please allow a 24-hour processing period on weekdays. Documents are not processed on weekends (certificates submitted after 6:00 PM on Friday will be available on Monday).
Certificates of Origin requests must be accompanied by supporting documentation for verification. This may be a Commercial/Manufacturer Invoice or Letter of Declaration by the manufacturer on manufacturer’s letterhead. It is the responsibility of the exporter/freight forwarder to determine which documents are required for the importing company. The Chamber does not make recommendations on required documentation but simply verifies information as supplied.
It is important to note that the Country of Origin refers to the country in which the product was manufactured, NOT the country from where the product is being shipped.
Documents requiring the raised (wet) seal must be sent through the online system for printing at the El Paso Chamber office. Certificates can typically be picked up from the office between 9:00 – 11:30am Monday through Thursday with exceptions of holidays.
1. Download and complete the EPC eCO - Certificate Registration Form
2. Email the completed Certificate Registration Form to epc@elpaso.org. Please note that both the El Paso Chamber and AWTCC will accept digital signatures for this form.
4. Your User Name & Password will be emailed to you.
5. Log in to El Paso Chamber's Certificates of Origin program to submit your information for processing
