Texicare, the health affiliate of Texas Mutual, was created to help address one of the biggest challenges facing Texas small businesses: access to affordable, easy-to-use health care coverage. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, Texicare is committed to transforming the health care experience for employers, employees and families across the state.

 Built by Texans for Texans, Texicare combines deep local expertise with the strength and stability of Texas Mutual, which has protected and served Texas businesses for more than 30 years. Our mission is to provide innovative solutions that increase access to more affordable, quality health care, while our vision is to help create a healthier and happier Texas.

 Texicare’s health plans are designed for small and medium-sized businesses and their employees, with a focus on affordability, accessibility and simplicity. Our offerings feature benefits that encourage members to seek care when they need it, including plans that offer $0 preventive care, $0 virtual care options and flexible plan designs that support healthier outcomes and more predictable costs.

 As a mission-driven organization, Texicare is working to improve the health care ecosystem by removing barriers to care and delivering coverage that people will actually use. Approximately 20% of current Texicare employer groups have not offered employee health care plans in the past, so we are proud to be fulfilling our mission of creating a healthier Texas.
